Leatherhead Lunchtime Concerts: Phil Hopkins Harmonica Concert with pianist Lesley Bridgwater

Thursday | Oct 26
12:30 PM -1:30 PM

Live event or show

Description

Our harmonica concert brings together two consummate professionals who usually appear just in front of the stage, and sometimes slightly beneath it! Phil Hopkins and Lesley Bridgwater apply most of their musicianship in the orchestra pit of West End musicals and tours. That doesn’t stop them slipping classical or jazz items into their programme. Phil is also a percussionist and both he and Lesley are highly experienced session players. You have definitely heard Phil’s harmonica in a film, tv series, or advertisement, at some point. Also today, we welcome to our concert members of The Westminster Society, alumni of the Wesleyan teaching college founded in Westminster in 1851, moved to Oxford in 1959. Free concert with a collection as you leave.

This is one of 4 Arts Alive events from LCAS – other dates are 5th, 12th and 19th October. Please see dates for full details.
