Live event or show
Description
A series of artworks relating to research conducted into the votive offerings found in the Ewell Springs at the source of the Hogsmill river as part of my MA Illustration course at Kingston University. Artefacts include sculpture, printmaking and drawing.
I will also conduct a workshop inviting participants to use visual methods to tell stories about the places that are meaningful to them. I plan on using cyanotype printing as the material for the workshop, as well as drawing, collage and composition advice.
My project ties into wider research considering the impact of creative methods on placemaking and nature connectedness.
I hope to use the arts alive festival to promote myself as a workshop coordinator but also celebrate the rich natural and social histories of Surrey.
