Arts Alive – Questions & Answers

Q & A’s

Question:
What types of events are suitable for Arts Alive?

Answer:
1. Any activity celebrating any aspect of the arts – music, literature, inclusive theatre, street art,
creative writing, painting, poetry, sculpture, comedy, workshops and more.
2. Taking place in Mole Valley 1st – 31st October.
3. Online, with a connection to Mole Valley.

Question:
What size does the audience for my event have to be?

Answer:
Absolutely no criteria for this at all – everyone is welcome. Events of 3 people or over 300 are both important.
If you have a niche interest in the arts and want to open the interest to the public,

please do register an event and we will promote it for you.

Question:
How do I know how much to charge?

Answer:
Ticket price is completely up to you and will reflect your costs in putting on the event.
We would not wish anyone to be out of pocket putting on an event, but it can be free or low cost.
Once your registration fee is paid any income connected to the event is 100% yours.

Question:
Can the Arts Alive Committee help me find a venue and run my box office?

Answer:
No, we are run by a small committee of volunteers so we can’t do this.
But we do have a good knowledge of the district between us so can make suggestions.
You will have to run your box office.

Question:
Are there any funding grants available?

Answer:
We do have a funding scheme if you fulfil the criteria, depending on how much sponsorship we are able to procure.
Please contact us if you would like to know more..

Question:
How will my event be advertised?

Answer:
Arts Alive will promote your event on the website and through our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts.
There is also a poster, flyer and banner campaign. We can provide you with logos and other material for you to do your own promotion as well
