Live event or show
Description
Please join us for a typical afternoon session of The Moles Creative Writing Group. We have a chairperson for each session who leads us through the afternoon. We start by each reading out the story or verse we have written on the topic of the month. This always produces a wide variety of pieces and interpretations of the topic. Examples of this year’s topics are ‘The Road Across The Marshes’; ‘Hunting for Bugs’ and ‘What if….’. We then take a break for refreshments and afterwards continue the afternoon with a fun writing activity presented by the chairperson. We have no advance warning of what this activity will be but we are given about 10 minutes to come up with something and then we share it with the group. This is always a lively part of the afternoon – examples of past activities have included * visual aids such as a bell, a book and a candle; * the phrase ‘cheap and cheerful’; and * coming up with interesting or amusing sentences starting with “I remember…………….”
We will invite visitors to participate in the activity, if they wish but we will be happy to welcome you whether you wish to take part or just sit back and enjoy the afternoon.
