Live event or show
Description
Two men with little in common other than having been comrades in arms, with two different views of the conflict they’ve been part of, and different recollections of events. The Door is a tightly scripted exploration of the rights and wrongs of foreign adventures and of crises of conscience, with humour, tension and a few twists and turns and has enthralled audiences ion multiple venues – and provoked some interesting point show discussions.
‘The Door’ kickstarted Tony Earnshaw’s career as a playwright, was a catalyst in the formation of Damn Cheek Productions, and has played in London, Edinburgh, New York, and multiple other venues around the UK. Written in 2008, it stays as relevant as ever as evidenced by our 15th anniversary performance in London last year. It hasn’t been seen in Dorking for ten years so this is a new opportunity to see what all the fuss is about. Featuring Darren Cheek and Johnny Vaughton, who have toured extensively with this production, The Door is on in Dorking’s Green Room Theatre for one night only – so don’t miss out
