Music on Thursdays Leatherhead is pleased to present a performance by the superlative London-based pianist, Elena Toponogova. Elena has become a regular of the Music on Thursdays lunchtime concert series, although this is her first solo appearance in the festival. A winner of several international performance prizes, Elena specialises in music by Russian, Ukranian, and has a particular feel for the composer Nikolai Medtner..

Focusing a video camera on the keyboard means everyone in the room will be able to watch how Elena’s hands move across the keyboard, and how she plays with varying intensity and style. You will find more details of her concert programme at https://www.musiconthursdays.org/coming-soon.html .

Come and join us for this concert on the professionally-maintained Schiedmayer studio grand piano in Leatherhead Methodist Church. LMC has level access throughout, including toilets, runs a hearing loop for speech, and has very limited on-site parking for blue-badge holders. Main parking at KT22 7JL is in the Swan Centre multi-storey. Please contribute to the collection afterwards to help cover the concert’s costs (musician, venue, and tuning.)
